Ar | chi | tek | tur

“Ar|chi|tek|tur” was the title of an exhibition of young architects and artists at the gallery Gaudens Pedit in Lienz in summer 2000.My contribution was the installation highway 138 (in collaboration with the architect Gerhard Mitterberger) and the exhibition graphicdesign.

The general concept was an architectural alphabet. The participants were asked to choose among certain given words that either had a contextual relation to their work or to develop a work that stood in relation to the chosen word. The project was accompanied by public discussions and lectures.

The goal of the project was to strengthen common consciousness for architecture in general an in the alpine area in particular.

concept: Franziska Leeb + Arno Ritter
participants: Ernst J. Fuchs (architect), Ralf Hoedt (visual artist), Peter Jungmann (architect), Hans-Peter Machné (architect), Gerhard Mitterberger (architect), Stefan Nussbaumer (visual artist), Andrea + Veit Pedit-Bodvay (architects)
